3D printing
I currently have a RigidBot Big printer, one of the larger 3D printers on the market, with a build volume of 12 x 16 x 10 inches (300 x 400 x 250 mm) running reliably with PLA.
I also have a smaller printer from a company that went bankrupt due to a variety of issues. It has problems and I am in the process of trying to get it working as a back-up.
3D Scanning
I have a desktop scanner on order that is capable of scanning objects up to 8 inches high and 8 inches in diameter. Resolution is advertised as 0.1 mm, but I will have to test it when it arrives.
3D image capture
One of the leading companies in 3D image capture is developing a simplified version of their commercial software. Dropping the cost from tens of thousands of dollars to about $1000 has put it into the small business range, and I have already ordered a copy. More info as it developes.
